Attendance Zones for Charlottesville City Schools

- Factors considered when establishing school attendance areas include capacity of schools; number of children of school-age living in the area; natural boundaries, city limits, and major traffic arteries; safety of the students going to and from school; and the number of children living in a given area who qualify for free and reduced meals. After attending neighborhood elementary schools, all Charlottesville students attend:
- Walker Upper Elementary School (Grades 5 & 6)
- Buford Middle School (Grades 7 & 8)
- Charlottesville High School (Grades 9-12)
Out-of-Division Students
